Aitutaki-Island of Dreams

The beauty of the Aitutaki Lagoon is unsurpassed. The untouched white sandy beaches and uninhabited motus blend in perfect harmony with the azure blue hues of its lagoon waters. It is a laid back island with charming people and unforgettable beauty. There are a wide variety of accomodations, from five star luxury to backpacker relaxation. The Lagoon Cruises are the highlight of a visit to Aitutaki. Many operators are available and all visit motus for snorkeling and a BBQ lunch. You can even have your passport stamped on One Foot Island! Fishing and diving are also popular pastimes for travelers. There is alittle night life here as well. Local bars mostly, a couple of fine restaurants, and island night dance shows all allow visitors to mingle with the locals. The people of Aitutaki are some of the most friendly I have ever encountered on any South Pacific island. This island is a "must see" for all visitors to the Cook Islands.
